Are you having a baby? Are you a new mum? Want to keep fit and exercise safely and effectively?

FunkyMamaCardioPlus is an exercise to music class for pregnant women or new mums (from 6 weeks) that is held on land and caters for most levels of fitness. This class is 50 minutes long and includes general fitness/ cardio conditioning, upper limb strengthening, abdominals, pelvic floor, stretching and back mobility components. This class can also usually be modified to suit those with pelvic joint pain.

Please discuss attending exercise class with your relevant health care provider; eg; GP, Midwife, Obstetrician or Maternal and Child Health Nurse, and download screening form and client responsibility form and bring to first class 10 minutes early so that the Physiotherapist can check forms and discuss with you.

Bring a thick towel to lie on, a small pillow and your own exercise ball. Ball provided only for first class. Eat lightly at least 1 hour before the class and bring along a water bottle. And have fun!
