Women’s Health Issues

1 in 3 women experience urinary and bowel control issues.  1 in 2 women will have some pelvic organ prolapse and 1 in 5 women will experience painful intercourse or pelvic pain.  1 in 3 women are not doing pelvic floor exercises correctly, this can result in worsening problems.

Its not normal to have any of these issues and by ignoring any symptoms one can worsen the problem or cause new problems.  The earlier a problem is addressed the quicker improvement will be seen.  However we also solve or improve long term problems. Unfortunately many women who have not had children can also have these issues.

These problems are embarrassing and distressing and can really impact on ones quality of life, as well as social and work life but many can easily be resolved with the right treatment.

There is strong evidence (level 1) that Pelvic floor physiotherapy is very successful conservative method to solve or improve many conditions including those listed below.
